Landon has a place to live!

We are getting close to finishing Landon's room. Mike put up the shelves just after I took these pics-I'm just too lazy to go back up right now. We also have one of our blue arm chairs in the corner by the window. We haven't had them out because we didn't have anywhere to put them until now. The last things I need to do is add the little things like shelf stuff. Mike has some collector Wheaties boxes so we are gonna choose a special one of those, and then some other odds and ends.
Add baby and we will be good to go.

Landon Update- Week 32

We had our last ultrasound last night and then I had my doctor's appt tonight. Normally I would do them together, but my mom and sis wanted to be at an ultrasound so I re-arranged some things.
Landon is doing great. He is weighing in at 3lb 15oz right now and all of the measurements looked great. His head is down already. As a matter of fact, at my doctor's appt today, the doctor told me his head is WAY down. I'm not dialated yet, which is good, but it seems that he isn't going to be very patient so I have been told to be careful and take it as easy as possible.

His room is nearly ready, I will dig the camera out and get pics tomorrow hopefully- to be honest, I can't find the camera, which is why you aren't getting a belly pic right now. Worst case, I'll take nursery pics on my phone.

I feel like the whole house is under construction right now. Mike is painting our huge built in, bookshelved entertainment center. He finally convinced me it would look good in white- and he was right- it's just taking forever! He's had to use heavy duty paint and let it dry longer in between coats so the family room is a disaster area. Between that, rearranging furniture and the closet in Peyton's room and decorating Landon's room, I feel like we just moved in.

Oh well. 32 weeks down- 8 to go, though the doctor says it will probably be closer to 4 or 5.

Elephant Noises

I have no creativity so I haven't updated my blog much lately.

Here's a little video though. Mike is very excited. He took this one. He is sure that Peyton is the only 16 month old who can make elephant noises. Ahhh, quality time with Daddy and daughter.

Our Little Lion

Peyton has been learning her animal noises lately.
She knows a dog woofs- "ooff ooff"
cows go moo- "mmmmm"
horses neigh- "naaayyyy"
and now she has the lion dow.

15 Month Checkup

Peyton had her 15 month check-up yesterday.  We were supposed to go last week, but I rescheduled because of the snow.

She is now 23lbs 5 oz  and I think 31 1/2 inches long- I forgot exactly what they said and don’t have the sheet with me.

Everything looks great otherwise and she is on target for all of her development areas.

Mike came with, at my request.  I have alot of pressure in my stomach from the baby and I knew Peyton would be a handful with the shots.  She isn’t a big fan of the doctor’s office.  I don’t think Mike knew exactly what he was in for.  Peyton clung to him like a spider monkey and screamed her head off when the doctor tried to examine her.  When the nurses came in for the shots you would have thought she was being murdered.

She was crying so hard when they came in, I don’t even think she noticed the actual shots.  Here’s the little monkey sitting with daddy. Everytime she heard a noise she would jump and grab around Mike’s neck.  Poor little girl.  She took a nice nap when we got home, though.

29 Weeks

Alright, I know it's been a long time since I've done a belly update so here we go.
This little boy is kickin' me like crazy. He is a little kung-fu fighter. We'll see if he ever sleeps once he makes his debut.
I can't believe we are already this far along! Time is flying and my brain is clearly in my stomach right now because I have no creativity for blogging right now- not to mention that I seem to have the vocabulary of a 10 year old.
Oh, well.

Here's the belly!

15 Months

Dear Peyton,

You are 15 months today. Another month has snuck past, and it was a busy one.

We celebrated your second Christmas and New Year and you loved every minute of it.
You didn't quite get the concept of Christmas, but you loved the Christmas tree and loved all of your presents.

We got alot of snow this month and you went out to play in it. You looked so cute in your litte snowsuit. You sat and scooped up as much snow as you could and you would watch it fall from the sky and point to it.

Next year at this time, you might be big enough to go sledding. I have a feeling you will love that as well- especially since you have become quite a little dare-devil. You see, now that you are walking, you are picking up speed every day. You seem to be able to dart around the family room at a faster pace every moment. You love going up and down the stairs- supervised, of course. But your favorite thing seems to be climbing on things- anything and everything. You climb up and stand, letting go and putting both hands up in the air as if you are saying "I did it"!

This month has also had some difficulties for you. MOLARS! You got 2 of your top ones and are now working on 2 of your bottom ones. These have given you, and Daddy and I, some sleepless nights. We are getting through it, but I know it hurts you and that makes me hurt. It'll be over soon and you'll be on to bigger and better- and hopefully, more comforatable things.

Your teething hasn't slowed down your desire to babble, that's for sure. You now love calling out to Daddy and I or Nana and Papa. You squeal for Bailey, love to say no, this and that. Now we have added ball, nice, up, nose and a few other words to your vocabulary. Some of them are a little hard to understand, but the fact that you point or act out what you are saying helps.

You are such a smart girl, Peyton. We are having so much fun watching you learn new things every day. It's almost scary how fast it goes. It won't be long now until you are a big sister. You are going to be a great one, I just know it. You are such a sweet girl- when you want to be :) - giving out hugs and kisses and sharing your ice chips or snacks. You definitely have your moments and can throw a temper tantrum like an award-winning actress, but your Daddy and I wouldn't change one thing about you or one moment that we've had with you.

I love you with all of my heart. Happy 15 months and Happy New Year.
Love Always,

Happy New Year!

We had a nice, low key New Year this year. Lindsey and Greg came out for the night with their pup, Gracie. We had talked in the beginning of the year about going away but by late Summer, Linds and Greg knew they were moving and then they found out they were pregnant.
So, we made a nice dinner and Linds and I watched the guys have cocktails. We did enjoy a little bit of champagne at midnight.
It was nice to spend the time with them- especially since it was once of their last nights in Chicago. I can't believe they are moving to Dallas on the 3rd!
We are gonna miss you guys!
Here are a few pics from the night and then the last one I had to put in just to call my husband out. Yes, that is Mike in a snuggie! He sat like that all night!
